My blog is now two years old. Oh, and so am I.
We had a great party where lots of friends came over to play and my grandparents all visited.
I couldn't contain my excitement when I started to receive gifts.
Mommy made some delicious cake.
I was prince for a day, even though I continued to wear the crown for a few more days.

My friend E. was nice enough to give me his old Maillot Jaune, which I have since proudly worn on many bike rides.
Okay, so I'm not quite one year old yet (my birthday is on Thursday), but that didn't stop us from partying a few days early! Some friends and relatives came over for a good time.
When it came time for me to eat cake for the first time everyone stared at me while I sat in my high chair. Maybe it made me a little nervous because I didn't much feel like eating cake.

Well, today I gave the cake another try and this time I loved it!
Anyway, thanks so much to everyone, especially Mommy, for such a great birthday party! Can we have another one on Thursday?

I'm starting to get the hang of eating solid foods, but it's still a little weird for me. Here I am showing my friend Ashlynn how it's done.
After eating I need to wash it down with some water. Man, that stuff tastes bland.

We spent the few days around Christmas in Peoria with Grandma Nan and Grandpa Rick. They proved once again that I am indeed spoiled.
I have a bunch of new clothes and some kick-ass monkey boots.
Most importantly, with four big people in the house someone was always available to hold me and/or carry me around. You there...
After the gifts I saw my first snowstorm.

Then I got to see Mom's friend Amy.
...and her husband Ben too (but it's hard to get excited about that :)
Last but not least, I played around with my new (to me) toy.
I assume this Christmas thing (whatever it is) is going to happen once a week or so from now on, right?

My BFF was born yesterday. Her name is Ashlynn and she is very tiny. Mama took me to go visit her in the hospital. I slept through most of it, and when I woke up I cried because Mama kept calling Ashlynn my "girlfriend." Yuck.

Early this morning I turned one month old. What a month it has been.

We've had lots of cool visitors.
We've had some worries.
We've had some rough nights.
