I've been turning lights off like crazy at home, but it wasn't until I found some switches at my own height that I could figure out how to turn them back on as well.

Christmas #2
Christmas with Mommy's family was a great time. I walked around Grandma & Grandpa's great big house for hours. All the playing wore me out a little bit.
I had great fun opening all the wonderful gifts.
I already can't wait until Christmas next year!
Christmas #1
Everyone in Daddy's family loved my antics, particularly me walking all over the place.
Of course, I tore into some presents.
Oh boy!
I really enjoyed seeing Nana, Grampy, Great aunt Marcia, and of course Grandma and Grandpa.
Holidays are just so much fun!

Across the room
Well, I was in rare form tonight. First we did peek-a-boo.
Then after all the walking practice yesterday I decided to go it alone back and forth all the way across the room several times.
Sure, I hit the ground a few times, but I didn't let it phase me. I'm a walking machine.

A teensy bit early
I'm not sure I completely understand this Christmas thing. I received a great big box in the mail last week, but Mom & Dad didn't open it. That didn't stop me from playing with it though.
I pushed the cart back and forth across the living room for 30 minutes non-stop. Then after dinner I played some more.
Thanks, Grandma & Grandpa!

Days of December
I haven't been blogging much lately, and for that I apologize. I've been too busy with life.
I saw Santa on a bitterly cold day.
The beard was more convincing than last year.
I rode in a race car shopping cart.
I tried to run away at bath time.
I played and played and played while Daddy kept flashing bright lights in my direction.
I started brushing my own teeth.
At every opportunity I go digging through Mommy's drawers to get her Breathe-Right strips and chapstick.
I've started climbing up onto the couch to play with Mommy & Daddy.
Phew.

Thanksgiving
We traveled all around and I got to visit all my grandparents and great grandparents for Thanksgiving.
At Grandma Barb & Grandpa Bruce's house I showed everyone how fast I could crawl, and I even took a few steps.
I also got to play with my cousins Caleb & Vivian, and see my great grandparents.
Later, at Grandma Nancy & Grandpa Dick's house I showed Grandma & Great Aunty how to play the piano on my iPad.
And I got into some mischief there as well.
I can't wait to visit all my relatives again. We just always have the bestest time together.

Wherever I may roam
I roam around a lot these days. First, I crawl super fast. As you've seen I go up and down the stairs like a pro. One of my current favorites is to grab onto a chair and walk around a bit. Here, see for yourself.
Though, to be honest, I'm not that picky. If I can't find a chair to push, I'll settle for whatever I can find.
I also got a new toy from my friends Claire & Elliott. It's a bike.
Finally, I just love going for a magic carpet ride. We can't take complete credit for this, as Daddy got the idea from a friend, but it's still my new favorite thing. At first I wasn't really sure what was going on. Now, whenever I see the magic carpet I run over and lay down on my tummy while Dad or Mom pulls me around.

Showing Grandpa how it's done
Grandpa Bruce stopped by for a brief visit and I just couldn't wait to show him how to go up stairs.
I'm not sure he would have figured it out on his own without my help.

Halloween
Halloween was interesting. I dressed up as a rock star (including a green mohawk).
We went trick-or-treating at daycare on Friday. Then today we had a few kids come by for candy. I'm not really that into it yet. Maybe next year I'll be more excited.
Grand opening
My daycare, the Washington University Family Learning Center, had its grand opening celebration this week. I took part in a parade with all the other kids. I even waved to the crowd from my vehicle like a beauty pageant winner. It was fun.
To honor the occasion everyone painted their handprints on big canvas posters, even the Chancellor of the university.
Daddy's handprint went next to the Chancellor's.
What goes up must come down
I've been having such a good time since I recently figured out how to go up the stairs. At every opportunity I shoot up the steps then play upstairs.
My favorite game is closing and then opening the bedroom doors.
It only took a couple of days before I also figured out how to go back down the stairs. Really the only reason I would want to do this is so I can climb right back up!

Up, up and away
I climbed up to the second step on the stairs last night, as I often do. But much to Mommy's chagrin, this time I didn't stop once I got there. I just kept right on going to the third, then the fourth, and so on. I made it all the way to the top and kept right on going straight into the bathroom.
I had so much fun that I repeated this feat a few more times before going to bed. I have so much fun upstairs. There's all kinds of dangerous child-unprotected things to get into. For now, at least.

Uh oh
Wow, so many things have happened in the past few days.
Dad went out of town for work, so for a little bit it was just Mom and me here. Then Paw Paw and Gramma Nan came to visit. I have been having a blast. They took care of me while Mom was at work.
On the first day they were taking care of me, mom was upstairs getting ready for work and Gramma Nan was getting me my breakfast. I threw several of my cheerios on the floor, and then I looked at Gramma Nan and said "UH OH" just as plain as day. It was the first word I ever said.
Mom missed the whole thing, and she was a little sad. So I have been cheering her up by throwing my things on the ground and saying "Uh oh" hundreds of times since then. And I scored big points this evening when I grinned at her and said "Mama." She couldn't quite believe her ears and kept trying to get me to say it again, but I have decided to make her wait a little while for that one.
Let's see, what else happened?
Gramma Nan gave me a haircut. She is a professional hairdresser, so I got a great new look. I love it.
Also, my left upper molar has come in. That's probably why I have been in such a bad mood lately and why I have not been sleeping well. Or maybe not. Who knows.
I tried cabbage for the first time too. It was okay.
Here are some pictures of me from last week at daycare, making and eating some cookies.
